Student Falsely Reports Rape
Calling the Castle Rock police to report a crime you know did not actually occur is charged as False Reporting in Douglas County. A college student is facing this crime after reporting that she was raped. According to the report, the student claimed she was sexually assaulted at a frat party off campus. The police investigated and found that her report was false. She was caught in a lie, showing that she had not been truthful with the information she provided to the police. They also found that the encounter was consensual, further proving her claim to be false. She was arrested and charged with False Reporting.
